Mercedes-Benz Reveals Concept EQ Vehicle at 2017 CES
Recently, Mercedes-Benz announced their next phase in the automotive evolution by premiering the Concept EQ at the 2017 CES in Las Vegas. This vehicle represents a new vision for electric vehicles while also establishing a new Mercedes-Benz brand. Electric Intelligence will encompass an array of vehicles and mobility solutions that are engineered to transform how we drive and power our cars.
The sporty concept SUV coupe beckons with its blue lights and a gleaming black hood. Inside, the traditional switches and knobs are replaced by intuitive touch-screen interfaces that control a floating wide-screen display. The interior ambient lighting in the cabin automatically adjusts to driver activity, while Car-to-X technology, intelligent Driver Assistance and a 3D real-time map display offer the latest in drive-enhancing technologies.
Two electric motors anchor the vehicle’s powerful electric drive system, generating up to 300 kW (402 horsepower) and delivering a 0-60 mph time of fewer than 5 seconds. Conveniently, the vehicle can charge at public charge stations, an at-home wall box or a wireless induction charger, and it boasts a range of more than 300 miles on a full charge.
We’re eager to see the production version of the vehicle when it arrives in 2019. Our showroom at 3900 McHenry Avenue in Modesto proudly serves drivers from the Modesto, Stockton, Turlock, Manteca and Ceres areas.
