Mercedes-Benz Unveils AMG® GT Concept Sport-Hybridized to Wow at the 2017 GIMS
It reminded us of the SLS AMG® and AMG® hypercar, and it was indeed from these, among other innovations, that Mercedes-Benz took its cues.

Topping its AMG® line, Mercedes-Benz unveiled its AMG® GT four-door fastback super sports car, coming soon, at the March 2017 Geneva International Motor Show, and it appears the model of long range, high performance and breathtaking style alike.
The supercar’s EQ Power+ performance design couples a road-commanding handcrafted, 805-horsepower AMG® 4.0L V8 biturbo engine, capable of zero-to-sixty-mph acceleration in up to three seconds, with a lightweight electric motor, and one can select from pure-electric, engine-only, and hybrid-operation modes to suit travel type. Recovering battery charge along the way is a snap thanks to brake recuperation technology, and one can count on fallback to AMG® GT’s V8 below a certain charge threshold for reliability for the long haul.
With nigh-racer chops like these, a car ought to look the part, and AMG® GT delivers a Panamericana grille, slim headlamp, side air gill, and moving center radiator shutter superfecta up to the task, which accents a deeply drawn hood design flanked by a raked windscreen, so you know she’s aerodynamic down to the wheel arches. And for the everyday, utility remains: AMG® GT takes a short trip beyond the sport segment with the convenience of a large tailgate, plenty of cargo capacity, and an interior with the luxurious comfort one has come to expect from Mercedes-Benz.
It’s only a matter of time before this prospective car appears. Don’t let this keep you from setting out from Stockton, Turlock, Manteca or Ceres to see us here in the Modesto, CA area for a test drive to introduce you to a comparable 2016 Mercedes-Benz SLK 350 Sport Roadster or 2017 Mercedes-Benz SLC 300 Roadster before the big release. We look forward to accommodating you!
